SAP Intelligent RPA Explained
SAP Intelligent RPA is a platform that allows organizations to create intelligent bots to automate sets of tasks and processes that are deemed as mundane, highly repetitive, and of low value. By doing so, organizations can reallocate human resources and align them to higher priority tasks which in turn improve operational throughput.
How it’s different from traditional RPA
- Not as code heavy, resulting in less bot breakdowns
- Ability to integrate at the API level, reducing bot break risk
- SAP Intelligent RPA has built-in machine learning
- Ability to connect to on-premise and cloud environments
Key Elements:
- SAP Conversational AI – chatbot like functionality that enables human and non-human interaction
- Built-in machine learning – provides reduced UI fragility, accelerated process adaptability, intelligent exception handling, unstructured content analysis, and self-learning
- API integration – improves overall bot performance and reduces bot down time and maintenance
Tools:
- Desktop Studio – Garage for creation and customization of bots
- Desktop Agent – Used for automation execution, typically housed locally within a workstation or server to allow for end-user interaction with the bot
- Cloud Factory – Cloud hosted component where bots can be orchestrated and monitored across organizational landscape
